BioGlue is the leading surgical adhesive in worldwide clinical use for indications in cardiova
scular, neurological and soft tissue surgeries. Consisting of purified bovine serum albumin (BSA) and glutaraldehyde, BioGlue has been used in over 1,000,000 surgical procedures in 70 countries since its clinical introduction in 1998. Over 300 BioGlue publications are available for your review.
BioGlue Syringe
CryoLife’s BioGlue Syringe is a self-contained, easy-to-use, disposable delivery system. The pre-filled device is available in 2mL, 5mL, and 10mL volumes. BioGlue delivery options include a size range of Standard Applicator Tips, Spreader Tips and Distal Tip Extenders.
The two components are mixed within the applicator tip and dispensed by a controlled delivery system. When cross-linking begins in the applicator tip, BioGlue becomes a protein hydrogel. When applied to the surgical site, BioGlue creates a robust, flexible, mechanical seal independent of the body’s clotting mechanism.
